A Day Trip to Richmond

"Are we there yet?"  came from the back seat.

"Not yet." I responded.

"How much further?" they wanted to know.

"We are going to Exit 178.  Look out your window for the next sign post. to see where we are." I answered.

"Hmm, it says 161.4, so how much longer?"

What was my response?  "Can you figure it out?"

How about it?  Can you figure out how much further we had to travel to get to our exit? 

About how long would it take us if we were travelling 65 miles per hour?
